Who we are

This website is run by Jo Stone, trading as Breathe by Jo. I offer breathwork, yoga, women's circles and candle making workshops in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

What information I collect and why

When you sign up to my newsletter
I collect your email address. I use this to send you updates about upcoming events, circles, retreat dates and other news from Breathe by Jo. I will only email you with things that are relevant to the work I do. The legal basis for this is consent: you have actively chosen to sign up.

When you make a booking
I collect your name, email address and any other details you provide through my booking system (Acuity Scheduling). I use this to manage your appointment and communicate with you about it. The legal basis for this is contract: it is necessary to fulfil your booking.

When you contact me
If you get in touch via the contact form or by email, I collect your name and email address and any information you choose to share with me. I use this to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis for this is legitimate interests: you have contacted me and I need your details to reply.

How long I keep your information

Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe
Booking information: up to 2 years after your last appointment
Contact enquiries: up to 1 year

Who I share your information with

I do not sell your data. Ever.

I use a small number of trusted third-party services to run my business: Mailchimp (email newsletter), Acuity Scheduling (bookings) and Squarespace (website hosting). These providers only use your data to provide their services and are bound by their own privacy policies.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, object to how I use it, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email me at hello@breathebyjo.co.uk and I will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with how I have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
